What happened to Miami subs? I just realized that I haven't seen one in forever. the one in chapel hill closed a few years ago, and the last time i was in durham the one there was closed too. Are there any left?

And where can I go to get a Gyro these days? I know there's a little shack near carolina beach. Anybody know of anywhere else down here in the wilmington area, or even anything in the RTP area, or closer to chapel hill?

There's a good greek place in Cary, i can try and find the name if you really want.

the guy who owned Miami subs turned most of them into Papa Lous... which are all now closed too. Not sure if whatever it is now is the same person.

I heard that they were having issues with growing faster than they could manage and that they've shrunk back down. I saw on in the Newark airport a month ago if that helps. Also, saw one just North of Miami.

I figured the one on Western Blvd left b/c their sign kept getting shot. I remarked about it to a buddy a few years back and he had read a story about the business troubles they were having.

American Hero - Up Roxboro St in Durham or near the old K-Mart and I-85 - I think that is Duke St or something. They also had a store in Roxboro. they all had good Gyro's.

awesome. I'm gonna have to check out some of those places. I'm craving a gyro
