When I was camping last year. I accidentally started to drive my minivan down a really rough road. I thought it was going to connect to the main blue ridge parkway, but it ended up going over a tunnel... I was surprised when I was like where is the highway? I had to turn around, it was too rough for me. There was also nobody around for a long time.
Anyways, this road is beautiful, and its definitely no 2wd. Does anyone know about this road and if they have tried it? I have been on rough 2wd roads in colorado and this was beyond that. If I still had my jeep, I would definitely make a trip out of it, its only 3.5 miles long, but lots of awesome views. The road is called "mountain to seas trail" or "mile high road". It connects directly to the campground.
Since the storms last year, I wonder if the condition is still passable. The reason I ask about it, is I am thinking of renting a jeep for fun, or maybe mountain biking it.
