Hatteras Fishing Report

Hatteras Fishing report: 9 flounder out of the sound sat-3 keepers, gigged a 7 fish limit sat night - biggest 5 lbs, paddled in at 3:30am under the moon and stars. BEAUTIFUL! 4 flounder, 1 puppy drum on sunday. 2 more on monday before we left. 12 lbs of fresh filets. Great time relaxing with my beautiful wife, catching... up w/ friends and the flounder cooperated. Couldnt ask for more!

Would love to Rob. I havent been down to that part of the coast in YEARS. How far away is that from you?

We are heading back to HI 7/17-24 so there will be some more I hope. I have a 5 yo that is itching to go.

I just finished a full week of fishing at kure and it blew ass, no spanish at all, only had on e keeper flounder, buddies only had one wimpy little king, no bait fish at all around, all around sucked, at least someone did well

Are those lights on the ends of the poles?

yep, 600k CP under water floods. When paddling I slip them down the paddle holders as they have to be underwater when on. That plus I have a 14"diameter fluroescent that mounts in the back which I use it as my walking light. Just a better light pattern that halogens. I drain a new deep cycle down in about 7-8 hours if all 3 are lit up.
Its sorta bright In clear water I can see fish 25-30 ft away from either side of the yak. And I have seen fish on bottom 18-20ft
