HD Radiator from O'Reilly Auto

This might belong in the Vendor/Shop referrals section, but it a parts thing so...
Mods - move this post if you think it should be elsewhere.

Anyway - got a new radiator for the DD CJ7.
Because I have an account with O'Reilly Auto - I got it from them. There was an option for the Heat Buster extra duty radiator for about $50 more, but I decided to cheap out and get the standard duty. Remember this is a DD and I don't run it hard.
Picked it up last night and when I took it out of the box, expecting a 2 row OE replacement it was a 3 row.

KEWL !!!!! :D

IOW - what they are selling as an OE replacement is really HD unit.

Nice radiator - decent quality - good fit and an extra row of tubes.

Very happy.

Oh, yeah - got it over night (N/C shipping) at a price just a few dollars more than the best price from radiator.com (Who I don't really like) not including shipping.


Now I wonder just how HD the optional Xtra Cool radiator is.
May order one for the trail rig.

I am going to second guess your question.

If you are wondering if you ordered a replacement for yours (XJ - IIRC? ) - if it would come with metal tanks.
I doubt it. If it was factory, with plastic tanks, the replacement probably will have them too, unless you get a custom or XHD.
 
No. I have not ordered any kind of radiator, that was not my thinking. I didn't know if they would give you one with the plastic instead. :)
