So I've started the new project. Taking the drivetrain out of my old truck with the lexan windshield and window air conditioner and installing it in the '85 4runner shell I bought. Got the whole thing out today, got the brake lines and booster installed and the clutch master cyl and pedal installed (4runner was an auto). So on to the question. This is a '84 22r into an '85 runner.
When I took the heat shield off the exhaust manifold, I was greeted by a 8" or so crack in the manifold. The rest of the exhaust system is completely shot too, so it's time for all new. I figured now is the time to put on a header, but being that my brain is fried right now, LC engineering is the only manufacturer I can think of. I don't want to spend $1000 on the exhaust system as that will more than double what I've got in the whole project so far. (And I've still got to have drive shafts made, get new brake lines to the wheels and probably get a new carb) That way I can dispense with the original one with all the vacuum lines and electronic feedback crap. (The 4runner was an EFI so the wiring is different)
