i am putting a propane kit on a 4.2 and started to run the heater hose through it when i decided to do away with the hoses running through the heater core since i don't need them.my question is the hose that comes from the thermostat housing runs through the intake manifold and then into the heater core,do i need to keep this routed through the intake manifold or can i bypass this?

Jeep 4.2? I don't think you need it, most (maybe all) CJ's never had it. The 4.0L doenst have any coolant running thru the intake, and its basically a 4.2.

There to keep it from icing up probably. I don't think it will hurt anything at all.
