I running some 3/4" chromo heims on my long arms and am using 3/4 to 9/16 high mis alignment spacers. Well at first I ordered the wrong size and also bought some universal spacers to fill up the stock LCA mount which is 2 5/8" but the universal spacers i am currently using are 5/8" while im using a 9/16" bolt. Now I am having some weird kind of popping sound or like I have some play in the heims somewhere...It only happens at certain times. Think it could be from using a 5/8" universal spacer on the ends of a 9/16" bolt?

it may be a bolt shifting in the heim or mount. order a set of 5/8 spacers and drill out the mount for a 5/8 bolt.
I have the 5/8 spacers and the bolt, but it would almost be impossible to drill those holes out. No room at all on the knuckle side. I dont even think a right angle drill attachment would work.

Definately a good possibility. Maybe try it with washers instead of the universal spacer?
Well Alex at Carolina Truggies was good to me again! I ordered up some 7/16 width 9/16 bolt hole spacers from him today and shipped them out today. Only a few dollars and piece of mind, So we will see what happens.
Thanks again John for your help! they ride great!

3/4" heims on long arms sounds a little on the small side to me, considering I'm thinking of running a 7/8" heim on a track bar.

Some of the "popping" noise could be a result of "settling in" of all the new components? Give it a few miles, tighten everything up, see if it's still there. AFTER you put in the new spacers I guess :)

Are you links built with heims on both ends?

If so the noise you hearing could be the heims, If there is not a bushing or some sort of stiff joint on one end of the link, the heims tend to lay on there side and when the link moves up and down the heim clinks, I ran them on mine exactly like your running, It would do it all the time on the trail, I have them on my rear axle for now and they don't clink as much.

Just a thought, And you need to keep the bore size the same so good call on ordering the correct ones.

edit; Might check the cam bolt in the front be sure it is settled in the good, I have seen them pop in and out of the channel

On second thought, I'm thinking things just aren't tight enough. More 'taters :)
HAHA more taters! They never seem to make that sound when im driving lets say on the highway or around town. Only at slower speeds when there is a delay in the reaction time of the heim moving as fast as when your driving at highway speeds.

Burrelsjeep: I have a heim on the axle end and a standard bushing on the frame end.

I guess I will just wait to see what these spacer will do for me. I am going to also throw some washers on the ends of the bolts to make sure stuff stays tight.
