So I'm looking at adding a few things to my Taco. I want to keep it a DD, but upgrade the offroad performance. I am pretty sure about adding a bull bar and a winch. I also plan to upgrade the tires at some point.

I was looking a the ReadyLift fixed leveling kit also. Is it worth it?

Please folks, help me out with some advice. I really don't know much about this stuff.

All thoughts, ideas, opinions and advice appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Tell a little more about your truck. I`m assuming by your name that it`s an 2009?

Sorry, yes it's an '09 Quad cab with the TRD off road package. Bilstein shocks, BFG rugged trail A/T's 265/70, locking rear diff.

Well to keep it budgeted, you could get the Bilstein 5100 height-adjustable shocks. They allow 0-2.5" of lift with stock springs. If you go that route, plan on getting heavier Old Man Emu springs if you want a bumper and winch. Stay away from spacers and all. They will just cause the springs to sag. Get it all from Wheeler's Offroad as they seem to have the best prices. $158 plus shipping.

For bumpers, I hope you have deep pockets or can fab. The cheapest thing I've seen runs about $600-700. You've got All-Pro offering two different styles, Demello, and Shrockworks. There's also a company called 4xInnovations that makes a tube style front bumper, but I'm not sure of the price.

To start with, PROTECTION! Sliders, skids, and bumpers are your friend. Worry about lift kits and tires later if you want that thing to see any kind of trail time, unless you don't mind body damage.

The biggest tire without having to modify much is a 285/75/16. Bigger than that, and you have to cut the cab mount behind the front fenderwell.

I can tell you more, but I don't have much time here at work today. If you want, feel free to PM me your number and I'll give you call and answer any questions you have.

Here is what I'm working with...
