Can anyone help? I am stuck on the side of the road in high point and the u joint came out of the yoke and broke it too. does anyone have an extra yoke i can borrow to make it home? or spare drive shaft to get it home? or a trailer. for a 1991 jeep cherokee

I'm sorry I'm not close enough to help. Could you possibly pull the rear drive shaft and drive home in 4wd? I've had to do it in my TJ before and it worked fine.

Just posted a note in CHIT CHAT for ya. Maybe throw your cell phone # up.

Dana 35 or 8.25? I have a yoke for a dana 35 withoiut straps here in hp if needed.... call me 215-8268

I'm in kerenersville. can come get ya once I get off work for some gas money in the tow rig. probably have the parts layin around to fix it

Too far to help, but we used a coat hanger to hold up the back of the driveshaft once and drove home with 4wd engaged. Left the front of the shaft in the tranny. Good luck, hope you make it home soon.

i got it home but now the something in the front axle is popping if i go over 10mph and i was in 4 high it didnt start till i was almost home

Good luck dude. At least you're home safe.

i thought my chain was stretched when my front end started popping. its either the spider gears or your ring and pinion probably about to go. id pull the front diff cover off first as its the easiest. then go about the transfercase. if by chance yours is stretched i have one you can have and its in perfect condition

nice..yea it started popping when i took off at a stop light and i was going easy but right at 10 mph it started it and it was making the steering wheel jerk around when it did it kinda like the front axle was trying to come unlocked it popped like that when the fork on my posi-lock broke

that sounds like mine. its the right front motor mount and the front shaft is bumping the housing or whatever..... check the drivers side motor mount

i can probably help you out with the costs man. are you going to take it somewhere or are you just buying parts and doing it yourself?

i was going to buy them and do it myself or try lol never done u joints but im out of work right now so money is very tight so any help would be very appreciated im just not sure on what kind of joints to get and i no nothing about that cv joint on the front
