I did my walk around and found a bump on my tire, what do i do, is this fixable? the are the bf a/t 32" I havent been wheelin in like 3 months and this is new.... :wtf:... are the tires over inflated? helppppp..
thanks

if it ha sported an egg, an internal belt has broke and needs to be replaced.

I deflated the tire a bit, I think i over reacted, I had it parked on an angle, I dont see the bup so i think itll be alright,

yeah right...it'll be OK.
NOT! what psi were/are you running?

lol I thought the same thing, I have to check the psi, I think I had 38-40

My last set of tires had a bulge (Question: Is this bump you speak of just near the ground, or does it follow the tire around?) and it wasn't long before the tire popped. I was lucky not to be in the back woods or on the interstate doing 60 when it happened.

BTW, I have 3 31x10.5x15 tires with good tread that are for sale along with the rims they are mounted on.

when I saw the bump it was in the bottom, I deflated the tire a bit, and i cant see it, so thats why I dont know if it was just the way it sat on the gravel... The tires are almost new, about a year old, but only been on the jeep since march.

if the tire was over inflated....sitting on gravel should not have made a buldge.

okay, define a bulge.

Did the bottom of the whole tire swell out, if so needed more air, no big deal.

Did a given section develop a large bubble or knot?
If so you have a broken internal belt and the tire needs to be replaced ASAP.

Yeah, I think you should inflate the tire back to what it was before, and then see if the bulge is stll there. If you still see it at the bottom of the tire, then rotate it half a turn so that portion is at the top, and observe whether or not the bulge is still there. If so, then like skyhi said, you have a broken belt, and that is bad news.
It doesn't really matter how old your tires are, a broken belt is usually the result of some trauma to the sidewall.

Good Luck!
