Finally going to get an engine for my 99 Dodge Ram 2500.
I need some help replacing it..can't spend 500-1000 dollars on something so simple. The truck's in Winston-Salem. Any help at all would be appreciated!

Going tonight to pick up the engine, let me know if you can help!
Thanks
-Mike

I'm in W-S and, depending on when you'll be working, I'd be glad to help you turn some wrenches. I've helped out some friends with engine swaps before, but I'm certainly no expert. I know an extra set of hands is always helpful though, so shoot me a PM if you need some help.

Thats awesome man. Anybody else want to make it into an engine swap party?

Most days after 5. And all day saturday.
Here's the full details..
it's a 1999 Dodge Ram 2500
It has the 360 Magnum 5.9L engine. I blew a rod through the block, and when we started it to move it, I blew a second rod. All we're doing is taking the blown engine out and putting in a new one. I went last night to Durham and got the engine..The new engine needs all of the covers put back on and it should be in great running condition.
Pretty simple job, just too big for me to cover by myself!

You need to take the intake and other external components off on put on new one also. do you have a flat concrete surface to work on? Remember I have a engine hoist and engine stand but all you have to do is take care of them and return them clean in a timely manner.

Did you take a look at the engine, Tavern? Looks nice, right? :D

You got a great deal on this engine. but like I said you have to put the stuff off you old one on the new one also. take lots of digital pics 1st of all wires before disconnecting them and placement of you nuts and bolts and All Vacuum Systems: Vacuum Hose, Vacuum Hose Clamps and Hose Fittings.. do you have a torque wrench also? I have one.
