Was wheeling the other day in my TJ and my back end bumped a tree. Nothing bad but I am wanting/ needing some corner guards and am wondering how much of a pain is the install. These wont be the cheep plastic ones, these will be the metal ones that require drilling. Thanks for the help.

I gotta see these plastic corner guards you speak of. Link! Who the hell would buy plastic corner guards?

As far as difficulty, you said it yourself, drill some holes and that's about it unless they are comp cut corner guards.

There are several threads on how people bend corner guards. Most end up using a small light pole or large fence post.

A coffee can had the perfect radius for my cj tub

Here are the ones that I am talking about.

Those resemble the ones I installed many years ago. The only issue I had was that I had mine Rhino lined and the fit was no longer perfect due to the increased thickness. Mine are pop riveted on and were easy to install. Just hold them in place, drill straight through the guard and the body, insert pop rivet, repeat

I think I'll put some plastic rocker guards on my 5 just for kicks...right above the sliders :)
