Help with Ford 9 inch with Yukon grizzly locker

Here's whats happening. We're doing a swap on my tj from 2.5/ax5 to 4.0/ aw4. After removing the trans, transfer case an drive shafts, I noticed the pinion on my rear 9 inch would turn 1/4 turn either way before seeing the wheels budge. Is there concern? Would like help before I put everything back together.

I believe that is a ratcheting locker......So yes that is normal. Auto-matic lockers depend on that feature to unlock when coasting and lock up when under power. Your ring and pinion is still moving within that 1/4 turn, it just hasn't engaged your axle shafts yet.
