Hi all- this is my first post here, just moved to Chapel Hill from Phoenix. I sheared the pinion gear in my 9", and there's probably a bit more carnage to be found when I pull the 3rd member.

Before I take it into a shop, I thought I'd see if someone here has the equipment\experience for gear work and is interested in making some $$$. Any takers?

I'm sure about a dozen others are about to post the exact same thing I am. For gears, East Coast Gear Supply is the place to go. A lot of the shops in the area seem to specialize in a particular thing...when I comes to gears and axles Chase is that man.

i've got a 4.56 ratio 3rd member with full spool set up for 31 spline axles, if that will help you any. it is posted for 325, but i'd take 300. yukon gears.

I like the sound of a drop in solution. My only concern is that I have an ARB locker in my current 9". I installed the Aussie locker in my 44A w\o any trouble- would swapping the ARB over be especially challenging for a guy w\ reasonably good mechanical skills but little experience in this area?

I suggest a stronger third member when you upgrade. I have a strange with the aluminum support. I say this as I had my stock housing break internally. I was on the stock 3.73 gears and running 38.5's and was welded up.
