Help with my Jeep!

I have a 1994 Jeep YJ with the 2.5L. Now the problem im having is after I run my jeep for about 20 to 30 mile at high speed it looses power and acts like its going to cut off.(only when I give it more gas) At low RPM(like below 2500) its fine. If I pull over shut it off for a few minuets and start going again its fine. drives great for another 20 to 30 miles. I also get a gas smell in side the cab time to time. I have gave it a tune-up and replaced the coil. Any Idea's would help.

I have heard of this before check the fuel pum relay or the pump pressure. I could also be the filter

ya ill replaced the fuel filter. still acts the same.

My 97 (tj 2.5) did about the same thing, It was the cat, cut off ran fine. good luck

I was wondering the same thing. I might just run a pipe in it.

Or you could just hollow out the cat. It will still pass inspection. '94 just has to look like it works and have all the emission parts on it.
