I want to get away from my point distributor on my 80's 304.I am looking for info on what distributor I could put in that isn't computer controlled or what is the best. The Jeep runs a little rich and sometimes has trouble starting.I think this will help.Plus points are junk.

D.U.I. They are great.

pertronix....less than $100 and no more points

dist.

you can get a electronic kit for your dist. It is simple you pull the points and condensor out and replace with the electronic unit. dont have to buy new dist or wires save money. may have to go through a speed shop to get the unit. usally cost around $90. accel makes one.

Thanks a lot guys, does this look like a reasonable deal to you?

They say this is all you need to replace the Dist and do away with points.I know chevy's really well but the 304 is still a little of a mystery to me.

no relations here, we just work hard to look good. also, if you dont have hei wires, call them back and order their's. it will save you on shipping and the wires are the same quality as accel.

Didn't order the wires, but I did order the Distributor,it came lightning fast,Now if it would ever get under 100 degrees out in my driveway I might get it installed.

X2 I ran DUI HEI distributors in my CJs. There are cheaper options than the DUI though if you're on a budget. Either way, a HEI conversion is definitely the way to go.

Edit: I see you already found a cheaper HEI dizzy. Also just realized it was you, Mike...haha. That big box in my garage is full of HEI plug wires if you need some.

Sweet,we can check it out this weekend!
