I cureently have a 99 cherokee xj with a 3" suspension lift new springs in the front and leafs in the back. I am running 31x10.50x15 BFG All Terrains. Typical beginner lift for the xj I know. I am looking to go bigger as most would assume. I am looking at adding 2" spacers in the front and 2" shackles in the rear. I already have new shocks to go with current lift so they will hold fine with the extra 2". I have heard different stories from different threads about what else needs to change with the extra lift. So far I understand that the control arms need to be dropped so I am looking at the relocate brackets rough country makes. Also I hear that I need longer brake lines which is an easy $50 swap for steel braided lines. Last thing I see is that I will need new pitman arm. From the experts does this sound about right? From your experience with this is there anything else that needs to be done? Also 33"s ??? Will they fit and not be stuffed in? I don't want to hit a curb and lose my fender!!! I am going to uwharrie and still want to do a little crawling!!!

So ditch the pitman arm completely??? How's the ride difference when track bar is added? Also I'm still new at the termonology even this is my second lifted xj. Discos??? Please enlighten me. Sorry I sound like a rook I know!!! Haha

sorry i overshot on terminology. i mean leave the stock pitman arm,use a aftermarket adjustable track bar in place of the stock one thats probably worn out, remove the rear sway bar and can it the rear susp will work much better without it,install disconnects on the front sway bar so that u can have better flex and travel on the trail. if u are having problems with tires getting into the fenders try getting longer bolts for the bump stops and stack about an inch of washers to extend them down.
