A good friend not on any boards is replacing his 22RE powered 79 Short Beds rusty tank with a cell.

Anyone got some good pics of their setup, or a good link to one?

Thanks!

Motobilt makes a really nice, thick aluminum cells. And the YJ cell fits the Barnes cradle. The Motobilt cradle is nice but a touch expensive, so you can mix it up.

RCI makes a steel Rockcrawler tank. It has a bladder and comes with a sending unit. It has a 1” lip around the top, so it could be recessed into the bed/floor easy, or your own cradle made out of some simple angle and flat stock.

I am doing this as well. I am starting with a Jaz 22 gallon cell with an Artec mount.

What are you guys using for connecting the -n fittings to the stock fuel lines?

Rock Auto has replacement tanks......

Jaz 22 gallon cell
FUEL PUMP(EFI) - WALBRO UNIVERSAL 190LPH EXTERNAL with AN fittings
FUEL FILTER 22RE/RET (EFI)1983-1995 PICKUP, 4RUNNER & CELICA with AN fittings
22re Fuel pressure regulator return line adapted to AN-6
22re Fuel rail adapted to AN-6
Stock fuel line from fuel rail to cold start injector
A whole bunch of AN-6 fittings and fuel hose. Also keep in mind this is a "Race" truck. This whole conversion could be done much easier and cheaper.

I have a 3RZ, not a 22RE...
Fuel Cell = RCI Rock Crawler 2161J 15 gallon cell with bladder. I made a custom mount for it in my buggy.
Pump/Filters = Walbro GSL391 Inline Fuel Pump 190LPH. Kit came with 2 inline fuel filters (1 pre and 1 post). I used the pre-pump filter from the kit, and left my factory post-pump filter in place.
Fittings/Lines = I used AN-to-barb fittings at the fuel cell. I ran regular rubber EFI fuel hose and hose clamps to the pre-pump filter, then to the pump, then to the factory post-pump filter. My return is also regular rubber EFI fuel hose and hose clamps all the way back to the cell, which again has AN-to-barb fitting. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-220766B

@pitbullcruiser's setup is very nice, and having all AN/threaded fittings is good.

I have had no issues or leaks out of my setup.

Nice! Do you have any info on your pre pump filter?
