One is made thailand one made in china. j/k I can't talk I have a 22 gallon air compressor from there and still working fine for what I use it for. Im not sure looks like one has 4 wheels and one has only 2 maybe some table diffrences when used up right. Not much diffrence cause the shipping weight only has a 2 pound diffrence between the two.

Get a portaband. I promise you will fall in love with it.

Got one, and you are right.

Gotta work some bigger stuff too, and it's nice to walk away while it cuts. ;)

The one I got now is like this:

I'll drop good money where I really need it; I'm just about to order a Miller 210. But stuff like this I have had pretty good luck with at HF. I usually try to limit stuff from there to things that don't have many moving parts/mechanical pieces, like jackstands, cherry pickers, etc. Certainly nothing electric. Worse on this is some crappy bearings, and a universal motor that can be upgraded cheap enough.

But buying the real quality bandsaws like these is a multiple-times price jump. Or it's the exact same ChiCom stuff with a "Jet" or whatever label on it.

search overat PBB there are literally dozens of pages dedicate to these 2 products.

1 is supposedly clearly better thna the other (though I cant remember why)

ANd there are 2 snall upgrades that need to be done immediately, after those there are numerous reports of using them for years trouble free

****1 of the upgrades was simply changing the oil, as it ships with resin and occasionally shavings in there IIRC
