High Idle

Hey gang. I have a question in regards to my '88 XJ. This morning when I drove it to work, it idled fine while in Park. This afternoon after lunch, I started my XJ up again, and this time it idled extremely high while in either Park or Neutral. Everything else seems fine while the Jeep is moving. The temp of the vehicle when moving is around 200 degrees which I believe is normal. Any ideas as to what it could be?

Marty, check the tubes from the PCV valce for any leaks. Vacumn will cause a high idle. Also you have an idle speed motor or valve. Sometimes they get gunk on them.
