Hey all,

Do you need functioning highbeams to succesfully get inspected in NC?

[Backstory]I've got to get my dakota inspected and am having a electrical problem with my right highbeam. When I flip the stalk the left comes on, the right goes dark. Grrrrrr

Replaced bulb and fuses with no effect. It must be a harness or ground problem. Voltage on the high side of the connector is 7.5 volts rather than 12+. Still needs work but I have the time to get it inspected today-provided they won't fail me ;)[Backstory]

Thanks!

I dont think so..i could be wrong since I dont ever pay attention when they inspect my car, jeeps never been inspected so im not sure. But i dont think they would, they check reg headlights brake lights back up etc

Thanks guys, guess I'll get back at it this weekend and see if I can get it figured out.

I'm half tempted to bypass the whole thing with an after market/homemade harness generally used for higher watt bulbs. Then I know it would behave!
