Got any feedback about hockey puck body lifts...if you do not know what a hockey puck body lift is..it is the use of 2-3 hockey pucks as a substitute for body lift mounts..you drill holes in em and use am like they body lifts....I wonder this..cuz i need a cheap way to lift my 90 cherokee

sounds like a hack way to do a lift, spend the $100 on a body lift a do it right. Hokey pucks are not rated for the forces like body pucks are.

Edit, I just noticed you wanted to do this on your cherokee, now that is the funniest shit I have heard all day :flipoff2:

Hockey pucks are no more suited for body lifts than body lift pucks for playing hockey. The NHL regs are very specific about the size shape and use of pucks, none of which involve a Cherokee.

Besides, there is no room to fit the Zamboni between periods during the install.

Take pix, we'll make it a sticky ! :huggy:

K ;)

Man, body lifting a cherokee is easy. All you gotta do is build a frame, cut out the "frame rails" from the unibody, create mounting points and then use the cheap hockey pucks with the holes in em. Boom, done.

Yeah you caint body lift a cherokee because of the unibody design...but if your lookin for a cheep way to lift an XJ get some front spacers and some rear blocks...total investment less than a hundred bucks...but remember you get what you pay for.

cant think of much redneck booty fab id come close to calling genius...

Get a pair of shackles, the good kind with a crossbrace so they don't twist and bend if you put it under heavy load. And get some coil spacers. They're rubber/poly inserts that sit above the spring

Grand total..... < $100

I know a guy that uses hocky pucks for a 1" body lift with no problems. I wouldn't want to stack two of them on tope each other though.

The older Cherokee's had frames, but your 90 model doesn't. Get 2" coil spacers for the front and 2" blocks for the rear. Cheap and easy, but not much flex.

A shackle with a cross brace means the two pieces are joined together in the middle. Like an " H "

I had a friend that used boat rollers on his truck for a body lift, needless to say the cab and bed separted from the chassis when going thru a mud hole!

Putting boat rollers on your truck for a body lift........$55.00
Buying new bolts for your body lift.........................$25.00
Seeing your truck fall apart during a run thru a hole..$Priceless

If I don't get my title ,someone might get there body lifted.

God doesn't like bootyfab. Buhhda told me so. Allah confirmed it.
