honda fuel pump cycles?

almost have my buggys harness completely done,when i turn the "on" switch the fuel pump runs,is it surposed to shut down when it has enough pressure,like a chevy?keep in mind this is just key "on" ,not running
its all from a 1990 honda accord 2.2 auto

with the switch on it wont cut off,it will keep running till i turn the switch off,it just keeps priming....time to hit the schematics again..LOL
