It's like the sun has switched places with the damn moon.

Stat on a tree outside says 102, and it's under the tree's shade!

home AC can't keep up.

i miss April.

(oh, yeah, I know...... waaaaaahhhh....)

I agree, it's too damn hot out there!

Its only June, what are yall gonna do when it gets hot?

Duane

thats what we said when it was colder then a witches titty in november and we wound up having a mild winter... keep faith, i see a 75-85 degree max summer ahead

Yea it was a great weekend to install a lift on my buddys jeep in the freaking driveway lol. It was literally so hot that we had to wear gloves 24-7 to pick up anything. But we do however have stellar red necks

I didn't think we had a mild winter, it was more of a normal winter for this area. The previous 3 or 4 winters were mild. Spring kicked in a little late IMO, we've just hit a heat wave early.

The heat doesn't bother me much, I stay hydrated, and once I break a sweat and get used to the heat (10 - 15 minutes outside) I'm fine. I get cold when it's below 60 though.........

I have only been down here a year, & 1/2. I can only remember one day, in mid 1990's when it got this hot in Philly. Today, I was out working on the heep all day, got burned up. Guess I'm officially A redneck now. Yesterday, went to a wedding in Lancaster. Ford Aerostar, no A.C., full of people. Bet we were noticeably ripe, by the time we got there.

I had to cook 80 leg quarters (chicken) on the hog cooker today for a graduation party. Damn 250 degree cookers is not fun on a day like today
Drank beer and could not even tell I was drinking

I was outside drinkin a few beers and was breaking a sweat between 8-9 oclock!
Freaking crazy, I hope this ends soon.

If you see you AC isn't keeping up cut it back. Give your A/C or heat pump a rest from time to time.. We moped around all weekend and found that even taking it to 82 still felt cool inside. Then we adjusted it lower early evening.

And my AC picked Friday to go on the fritz :( Made me miss The Farm event  The fan motor seized up, I laid an old box fan on top of the unit and that got us through til Sat morning when I could get a fan motor and capacitor. Got everything buttoned up about 1PM but was too wet and tired to make the trip to Punkin Center :)

tell my wife that PLEASE! IT was a damn Ice box in my house this weekend! Went out mowed the lawn, damn near felt like I was gonna die. went inside and had to go back out cause it was too freaking cold in there! sat in the garage until I cooled off enough to go in and adjust the temp. It was only on 69-70, I bumped it to about 75. Told her if she's hot then take off some clothes... then I bumped the temp up a little more :D

damn it seems just about everything you post up makes me chuckle in one way or another

on saturdays i drive to richmond, va then to raleigh, nc and i got to take my mom-in-laws nissan armada. it has the digital thermometer in the rear view mirror. hit 100* by 10am and didn't drop below 101* until i got all the way back to thomasville. highest i saw was 108* when i got back on I40 leaving raleigh.

i had mine set on 72 yesterday afternoon after we got back from Uwharrie and noticed it wasn't going down past about 75 in the house. turned it up to about 74 so it wouldn't overwork. kept the ceiling fans running to help circulate as well. normally we keep it at 74 in the summer, 68 in the winter and the power bill ain't too much.

It is miserably hot. We have been without AC for the last two weeks.Yesterday was 94.6 in the damn house with the fans all on high. Hope to have the new system installed this Thus. 80 will probably feel cold by then.

I think the heat has gotten to you already. I cant remember a summer where it was 75-85 max.

Damn, this is hot, 120+ nearly everyday, but it starts to cool off around 2200, and gets a nice comfortable 85 or so.

Oh, wait you guys are still in the states, and are bitching about how hot my bay is with 4 AC units kicking full blast.

We will all be wearing towels on our heads to beat the heat! I went to get something out of my Jeep the other afternoon around noon and walked outside barefoot, i think i got second degree burns on my feet. Seriously i have never felt such hot concrete! Not to mention the AC on BOTH my Jeeps dont work. So I am just leaving the doors off.

By the way, does anyone know if you can use the do it yourself freon refills for AC on a 2000 Wrangler or what is this converter system you have to have in order to do that?

Eh??? 2000 model should be the "new" 134a freon, you can just buy it at any parts store, w/ matching fittings, shouldn't need to convert anything?

yeah It has sucked at work for about a week or two now. What ever the temp is outside you can ad about 25 to 35 to it ad that is what it is inside. We have no heat ,except the machinery, or air in our plant (except for the office) so it is great in winter and SUCKS!!!!! in the summer. Plus having to wear nomex jump suits doesn't make it any better. bring on the winter weather please.

I take it my 96 Grand Cherokee doesnt have this? The freon is out on the Cherokee, the green power wire behind the resister in the 2k Wrangler has burnt up and needs to be fixed on that, it too probably needs freon.

just go to parts store and buy a hose with the gauge on it. I don't think they are but like $30. Then if it needs the r134 retrofit kit buy it all it does is thread into/onto the old fittings. then you just hook the hose from freon can to ac line and fill away. the retrofit kits aren't but a few dollars.

That's true, but IF it dosn't havet he right fittings, you have think about WHY NOT. If it's dosn't have r134a fittings, then it shouldn't have r134a IN it. If THAT's the case, you need to remove the current stuff, get it all flushed out etc, before adding more. You don't go just mixing it.

But in the case of your 2k TJ, it shouldn't need anything converted.
'96 Chee, I don't know, but looking at the fitttings will tell you what kind of refridgerent is in it.
