How long does a tank of propane last in your rig?

I'm planning on going to Ky this weekend and I only have one propane tank.:confused: How long should one tank last? I know that the truck wont be running all the time due to stop and wait. The truck has a 22r tons and 40s
 
I run all of Mnt city on one tank. Most of Tellico on one tank.
360, tons and 44's
If you want to borrow a tank to make sure, let me know.
 
Thanks Chip. I need to buy another tank but this truck has busted my wallet here lately.
Do you think I would be ok with wheeling 2 days at harlan on one tank?
 
Maybe, maybe not. Depends on how long you wheel, and what all you get into. I wouldn't chance it myself

You need at least one tank per day. What if you run out at the top of the mountain? You can't sipon a gallon from a friend.
 
Go to walmart and get a tank adapter so you can run a green coleman tank upside down for emg. usage. I can run about 20 mins on one of those tanks and carry 2 with me all the time.
 
1 tank here. I ran Rail Trail this weekend and tapped out at the very top. It took all day to run.

I definitely need to get one of those adapters. I run 2 tanks but I was in a situation once that took two tanks in a day and I thought I wasn't going to make it back out.
 
jeff- one tank a day is what my truck uses in harlin. even if the one tank is not
empty i'll switch to the fresh tank. and using an adapter on a colman tank upside
down is a great idea for an emergency.

Jeff, i ran my truck thursday night, all day friday, and saturday until about 6pm the last time i was at harlan on one tank. Everyone else in the group had switched to their second tank already, but mine rode the whole weekend. Robert's used the most, then jason's, then mine. Tough to say man, but i would grab a spare just to be safe.
 
I've got 4 steel tanks I'll take $125.00 for all 4. Two are in almost new shape 2 or ok. The two that are ok are aleast half full.
