how many.....winch topic

how many that have winches on your rig have the lanyard control and inside controls. when i mounted my winch i relocated the solenoid box off of the winch and i run two switches on my dash,one for power and a 3 way momentary on/off/on

I'll have in-dash controls as well as controls outside at the winch. Also, I'll wire in a plug so that I can use the lanyard if needed.

my winch has all that and makes smoothies too .

I've got an 8274 on the front of my cab truck, and I bought the in-cab winch control setup from 12 volt guy.

I moved my solenoid box to inside engine compartnment right in fornt of the firewall, nice and high and protected.
Eventually I'll run in-cab controls, BUT I realized from this new position I can just hold the lanyard from the driver's seat so there's not much point really, besides the obvious cool factor.

Thats what I have done on my winch, the soleniod box is beside the battery and then the lanyard is ran inside the cab. It comes inside the cab on the passenger side but I still have enough to run it out side the driveside window.
