How much does it run to get an axle rebuilt?

I dont really have the time, nor skills to do this myself.

My axle seals are leaking, so I guess its time to get them replaced, but I mine as well see how much it is to get them rebuilt.

How much does it run for just the seal replacement?

What about the whole axle rebuild?

more importantly...who does it around Hickory?

Did you go to the shins show tonight? Pretty rad no doubt.
Anyway, yeah...you're right, it's a 35. Bearings and seals are cake--even though being a c-clip axle makes things more complicated. I know you said you don't have the time, but it really doesn't take that much time as long as you have someone with a press to take care of the bearings/seals on the shafts... Might think about doing it yourself and saving quite a bit of money.

if its a c-clip axle, bearings are in the end of the tube, seal on outside.. Shaft has machined surface to ride on the bearing..

The last time I had to remove one I ended up buying a bearing removal tool (or you can rent them) to use on the end of a slide hammer, then its a .02 second job to bang it out..

Yeah you're right, I guess I was thinking 9". The bearings/seal will be set in the housing which only makes it easier. No press needed, only a prying device or slide hammer and a pipe/big socket/seal driver to get them back in... But any shop that does brakes/etc should do it.
