I'm helping my wife with a power point school project. She want to use background music, but the program says I need to use a .wav file. I have the excerpt of music on a .mp3 file. Anyone know how I can convert to the .wav file?

Pretty much any audio editing program will allow you to do the conversion. THere are also several freeware and shareware programs that will convert it for you

i use windows media player. assuming you have a pc, you should already have it.

The media player wouldn't let me edit the files, just play them. I used the mp3 editor that have for my cell phone to compose the music. Just googled a converter and will see if I can add it to the powerpoint.

Thanks fellas!

Wait - you mean you made the tune with your PHONE?
WTF is the world coming to????

Next thing you know, we'll be remotely unlocking our cars with a wristwatch.

sorry, i thought you just needed to convert. didn't realize you were editing also.

I have a program and cable to load MP3s, ring tones, or pics on to my phone. The program has a MP3 "clipper/editor". So I spliced the music together for the time I needed for the presentation. Then I find out the Power Point only accepts wav files.
