how to get rid of windshield?

What would be the *proper* way to get rid of a rear windshield?
Buddy has one from a 90s Saturn. Nobody seems to want it.
How would you dispose of it i nan enviro-friendly fashion?
Sicne it's tempered safety glass, I rseriously doubt any recycler would take it.
Also doubtful the local landfill (Hanes Mill) would take it.. but can't get 'em on the phone.
One option is just breaking it, puting in trash, but thats just messy.
 
Throw it in a car that is going to the scrap yard. Although this is not practical if you don't know of any vehicles headed that way. :)

Not a bad idea. Try and beat it up, break it, whatever, then put it in the trash?
 
As much as it'll pain the eco-warriers.... throw the SOB in the trash! I've jumped thru numerous hoops to dispose of computer equipment... from hauling it to the 3RC station in W-S to having the $5/hr droids at the landfill tell me "just throw it down into the dumpsters".

The sad of it is, regardless of what the local politics is saying regarding recycling, they are NOT ready to recycle more than 50% of what's being generated anyway... :rolleyes:

Cut hole in soft top, bungee that glass across roll bar and make a redneck sunroof

Put on E-bay...somebody WILL Bid on it!!!

Save for a Christmas present this year

Turn into insurance as total wreck...nothing left but the glass....

Bring to BDOR swap meet...Try & trade it like Ricky (ie jjraw would)...for like a set of Rockwells or Atlas case or sumthin'
