How to identify different u joint sizes

just wondering if there is a measurement guide to determine u joint sizes. Mostly interested in 260's vs. 297's.

The 260 cap is less than 1" in diameter, the 297 is greater than 1" in diameter. Can't give you specifics, but that's the difference.

5-260x is a dana 30 axle u-joint
5-297x(old #)...changed to a 5-760x is a dana 44 axle
