Sounds simple enough, but its got this pad wired up to something heading towards the headlights. I guess it has something to do with knowing there is a battery there (looks like the pad detects weight?)

Anyways, I want to remove and clean my battery tray and underneath it, but I cant get the clip undone on this stupid pad.

Any tips?

EDIT*

Removed the tray, now Im wondering what the use of the weight sensor pad thing is?

thats prob a warming pad for up north. Check around the front of your jeep for a 110 plug. If it has it then it prob has a block heater too... my 99 doesnt have a pad under the battery so Im assuming thats what this is.

Whats a 110 plug?

Is the block heater something that you turn on manually or does it switch on when it needs to?

A 110 plug is like what youd plug into a wall outlet. Its basically like a heating system that keeps your motor, oil, and battery warm during the winter. You plug it in with a drop cord and keeps you from having a hard cold start in the morning

 damn how could I miss that one!

Any idea as to where its general location would be?

However, definitely is the battery temperature sensor. Wonder why yours doesnt have it?
