hp 44 and 9 ich?

I acquired a hp 44 and 9 inch the other day. I haven't looked at them enough yet to figure out the gears but I know the 9 inch needs drums and the 44 needs brakes spindles and hubs. How much are these axles worth as they are, how much are they worth if I fix them and how much should I expect to pay to fix them? I'm not positive I'm gonna sell them both. I just wanna know how much they are worth if I do decide to sell them.

Weld on axle wedges are worth more to some and less the others. All depends on what they are going under.

Last set I had I sold for 250 but I have seen higher or lower depending on the gears and general look of the axles. They should not be a lot the fix up but I would not put X amount of money in them thinking you are going to get the same back or make the axles worth more. Lockers,Chromo shafts,and gears make it worth more but again if you put all that money out there it would be rare that you would break even or make $$.

If you sell them you will get more people with a set of "take outs" at a lower price vs. cleaned and rebuild for a higher price.
