Why did the TJ a LP D30, but the XJ got a HP? From what I hear/read, they are complete bolt-in swaps, you'd think Chrysler would be all about commonality..or did it take them til 2000 to figure that out, when they put the LPD30 in the XJ?
Are there any issues putting a HPD30 in an unlifted TJ...oil pan clearance maybe?
And random related facts, 76-86 CJ uses LP, YJ uses a HPD30, and I think the ZJ is LP.
