Just had a few questions about them. I can get a 7000# 16x7 wood deck with fenders and dual brakes for a little over $1700.

are Hurst desent trailers? i will be towing a 1st gen yota on tons and 40s. also, they either come with tubed or channneled frames for the same money. any preferance? It will be used about 3 times a month and its the only thing I have found in my price range without the hassel of searching for something used. let me know!

Price sounds reasonable, but possibly call one of the local trailer manufactures for comparison. Or even look on ebay (there are a few ebay places near atlanta)

Also what size is the 'tube' or the channel ? that will help with any comparisons..

Both the channel and the tubed frame of the trailer is 6" im not sure the thickness of the steel however.

Is that price buying directly from them? I have hurst 18' GN I got in 01 or 02. I have misused it for years and its still doing great. The only better trailer I have is a contrail and it was alot of $$$. I am getting ready to get another Hurst.
Take it for what its worth but I would pay the extra for the 2-5k axles. You might say you dont need them now but the cost is nothing compared to upgrading in the future. And the peace of mind. My trailers are all channel so I cant comment on the tube.

i have a 16ft by 8 ft dove tale with steal bed with 3500lbs axles bought in 2ooo no problems tows great gave 1400. for it .the only thing i would change is to get an 18ft long as far as 10000 lbs would be great to haul a heavy ride or a bobcat on if that is what you want and your tow rig can handle it go for it:driver:

hurst

the trailer was purchase as an all around hauler cars trucks biulding matels .and the 16 for is a little short sometimes .and if you haul a fullsized long bed its a little short farm equipment etc. the 16 footer works out fine for my cjs and most items i haul but the other two foot would just be ha:bounce::bounce2:ndy

hurst

mine is a open c channel but very thick no problem with deflection or twist but as in most things the boxed should be stronger unless they go thinner when they box it
