Ok, I finally got everything hooked up and pushing the same direction. It seems that with the tie rod end of the assist ram unhooked from the tie rod that the ram only exerts force when the gear box encounters resistance. I unhooked it just to see if it was working since I tapped my box myself and I noticed that the ram only moved once I had hit full lock. After sitting and thinking about it for a few minutes I realized that full lock equals resistance. So, I centered up the wheel and blocked it up against the wall and the ram pushed. I assume it working properly what'dya think?
