So my Jeep needed a new top. It's a 2000 model so the old one was 8 years old and in pretty bad shape.

A guy I went to high school, with whom I recently got back in touch with, pops up and asks me how much he could get for a soft top for a 2000 TJ. I asked him what color and when he said black, I said I'll take it if it is better shape than my current one.

He then tells me he had it on his Jeep twice and that it has been in his fathers garage since. And... the two sides and rear panel have been kept in the house the whole time.

Long story short, I drive out to his dad's house and meet him there, he pulls the top out and I can not get my money out fast enough!! For what I paid for this top, I am sure several people will be jealous! But, He got the price he wanted and I got a new top! See for yourself...

(The passenger side upper is my original one)

I have never seen such clear windows!!! I will be really Jealous if you paid anything less than $200 for that!!

My TJ is a 2000 also, bought it right off the lot and drove it home with the factory plastic still on the seats. Anyway, my top is still in great condition, of course, I have "street" soft windows (tinted) and trail windows (clear), and then there's that winter time hard top ;)

I scored a brand new one for 150 bucks. My 97 tj top was pittiful. I took it to a upholster
and he said'' I bought a new jeep last week and it came with 2 tops. One hard and a soft top, I will take 150 for all the soft top stuff'' I said heck yeah!! What a deal. It was a true ''jeep'' top too.
