i guess the axles would be fine after a rebuild.

crap, he is going to have to spend ALOT of money to get back on the rocks.

Agree...I'd say that high dollar rig is scrap metal. Hope that since it happened on his land that his home owners insurance will take care of it.
 
Damn, I was figuring he was going to say it was either sparks out of the exhaust, or maybe the ever popular over heated tranny puking onto hot headers. But friction from the pinion brake? That is just damn unlucky. And then to have the fire suppression system fail too on top of that. Not technically the worst wheeling day ever, but it's right up there.
 
Agreed.. that's horrible....and my worst nightmare. I mean hell, dude even had the foresight to have an onboard suppression system!! I don't know *anyone* with one of those...and it failed him. UGH.
