I have a 71 bronco I bought for nothing that came with a lift, dana 44, badass 80s bumpers, and 4.11 gears. I got the title with it but it wasn't signed over to me. The buyers name was left blank with the sellers info there. What do I do to get it legally in my name. Someone told me I needed a notery to make it legal, but I don't know.

Or I know where I can get another title and the glove box/vin #'s. But its the same thing as my bronco, its a title left blank on the buyers info and has the sellers there. But it comes with the glove box and vin numbers which I might need because I can't find them on my bronco...

All you need to have notirized before you go to the Dmv is the sellers info. the dmv will notrize the buyers info.

North Carolina title? Sellers signature needs to be notarized. If it's in the wrong place, I'd take a week off and go stand in line at your local DMV and ask them.

If it's already a SC title the sellers signature does not need to be notarized. I just titled my rig and the wife that was listed on the title hadn't signed it. The lady at the DMV says to me "I'll give you a hint, her signature doesn't need to be notarized." So I went outside, signed her name and came back in. Had a title like 3 days later.

As stated, NC titles require notarization. And have a place for them. SC titles do not. If it is a NC title, and if the dude who sold you the Bronco 'for nothing' was the same guy whose name is on the title, go back to him and get it notarized together. If it is not, you'll have to try and chase down whoever is on the title. Good luck with that.. As for the other title, if you have one, (I can't understand what you are tying to say), it is ILLEGAL to swap VIN tags and titles. With that said, I know that others have done it.

The VIN stamp can be found on the pass side frame rail about by where the starter is located. It is hard to see, and would not be legible if the frame as any rust on it in that area. The only other spot the VIN would be is on a sticker that is on the driver's side door striker post. It is very possible that the sticker was removed or painted over.
