Not exactly sure how posting on this "forum" stuff works, but i think this is right. I live in the Boone area of NC, and want to lift my Xterra. I don't know much about it, but from talking to others, this is what I want to do with it. I want a 3 inch Calmini suspension lift, with maybe some 32 inch mud terrain tires. I probably want the blacked out rims, I guess that looks the best. Is this the best to do? Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks for your help

Are you goin for looks? Do you want reliability? Do you want it to be able to hold up to a heavy beating? There really isnt a way to tell you whats best to do without some more information.

As for looks, do what you think looks good. I prefer form over fashion, but to each his own.
Calimini is the only lift available, I think.
32s should be doable.
A rear locker will get you places you never thought possible.

There are a couple Xterra sites, from what I know.
You could also PM RedX on this board, he has one that is pretty built. I know he doesn't get on here a lot any more though.

I think JonathanS has one too??

thanks for the feedback...i guess i'm going more for the looks than offroading, although i plan to do some. i think everyone would be lying if they said they werent going for looks anyway. but i think the xterra will be unique, u dont see many lifted

ha, nah...im gonna have to pay someone to do it, which is gonna be expensive...but i guess its the price you pay...with everything im looking to do, is that around 3-3500?

If you want any work done on your xterra send me a pm. I work on them all the time. There are several companies that make suspension lifts. AC or 4x4parts.com, spencerlowracing.com, or calmini but calmini is the worst for customer service. If you plan on using it with the suspension kit you'll need a steering set up too because the factory steering is weak.

best thing to do is sell it and get a toyota................

Better yet a JEEP! LOL Sorry....couldnt help myself!

I ain't even gonna......

If yer in Boone, go talk to the guys at the intersection.....you know, where the shiny heeps and the way cool Land cruisers are.
They might be able to help you all the way around.
