I ordered a set of "True 2 inch coil spacers" from 4 wheeler supply for my ZJ and when I went to put them on this afternoon, they wouldnt quite fit. Now ive not personally dealt with spacers before but it would seem logical if they fit in the top of the coil right? Like the cone shaped part at the bottom of the spacer, its supposed to fit into the top of the coil. Anyone got any ideas?

What do you mean by "doesn't fit"?? The spacer does fit over the bump stop post? or you can't get it in place? There's a rubber spring isolator the spring rides in you'll have to remove and to put the spacer in and then replace.

Yes, the spacer should go at the top. If I remember correctly, you have to remove the bumpstop, then remove the little cup that the bumpstop pushes into, then slide the spacer on. Also, the spacer is a very tight fit around the rod it goes onto, so it will take some effort. WD-40 or similar is your friend here.

The spacer fits over the post, but the bottom of the spacer itself, the part that looks like its reduced down, doesnt fit in the top of the coil. So you're saying I should take the isolator out, put the spacer in, then put the isolator back in and replace the coil? I was going to try that this afternoon but didnt know if it would work. Thanks for the help guys

Yes.

The isolator deadens the vibration and noise the spring transmits from the road into the unibody for a soft quiet ride.

Well I got the spacers in this afternoon, it turns out that I did receive the correct spacers, but the tops of the rear coils are more tightly closed than the ones from the front so the spacer doesnt fit into the top of the coil like it should. I ended up taking the isolator out completely and just using the spacers. Thanks for the help.
