Doc (the B-29) was in Statesville a month or so ago. It actually flew over my mom's when it left and I just happened to be outside at the time.

I got to fly in a b17, b24, b25 & p51 back in 2018. Awesome experience. My whole family actually flew in the b17 from Burlington to Statesville. My neighbor flew with my in the b24 from Statesville to Greenville SC. He was in his late 50's at the time, that was his FIRST flight, and still his only flight---a B24... Imagine that...

We went to see Doc, but due to thier poorly worded announcements we( and about 30 others) got there at 330. They stopped tours at 3.
