I went to SEMA last week and spoke with my compatriots with Eaton Automotive (I work for the Electrical group). It seems that the Electrac has recently been discontinued because it competes with the Eaton-developed E-locker. Since Eaton acquired TracTech they decided to streamline production somewhat. I was speaking directly with the aftermarket sales manager, so it was the "horse's mouth".

I plan on trying to find one in December. I hope they are still available somewhere! I want a limited slip when my locker is unlocked, not an open diff.

FYI guys!

I have been thinking about a Dana 30 E-Locker for years. The rumors keep flying but no locker. :( Any ideas when that is finally gonna make it to market?

I can ask the guy about that, but what about an ECTED from Auburn? Same deal, ball-ramp locker design, electric actuation, but you also get a clutch-type LSD to boot.

As trivial as it may seem I don't want to deal with wearing clutches and having to get more expensive gear lube.
