IFS steering box & th350 trans case question

1st question, which lines on the ifs box hook up to which lines on the ps pump? the two lines on the box on the left and the two lines from the pump on the right.

2nd question, I sure I cant do this, but thought id ask anyways. Can I cut the spot where the screw is pointing up on the very end of the trans(its about dead center in the picture)? Or even just grind it down some? I only need to cut/grind about a centemeter off, just enough to get the exhaust manifold in.

You can cut that whole tab off if you need to, it just holds on the TC cover that most people don't run.

thanks, that saves me alot of money. Dont have to get new sanderson headers and exhaust.

why not just pull the steering shaft that isn't yet bolted to the steering box, seems a lot easier and would also aid in installing the manifold bolts.

might need to pull the plugs out too, but beats the hell out of sparks or hot shavings dropping on you when cutting from below.

already cut the tab off with a recipricating saw. had to get rid of it cause it got in the way of where the header dumped out. had no choice.
