IMPORTANT - Must Read - New Rule For NC4x4 Users

Effective May 1, 2009 restrictions are in place on user names and signatures!

If your crawl ratio is less than 100:1, you are prohibited from using any form of "crawl" in your user name or signature and MUST cease and desist from prohibited usage! Prohibited are crawl, krawl, creep, walk, crawler, krawler, walker, creeper and any and all dirivitives, synonyms or approximations!

If you are unsure what your crawl ratio may be:

Trans 1st Gear x TCase Low Gear x Diff Gear = Crawl Ratio

Example(stock manual 4.0L TJ):
3.93 x 2.73 x 3.55 = 38.08

If you are using an automatic transmission, multiply your final ratio by 2 to allow for the torque converter (this is a generous approximation).

Adherance to this new regulation is mandated for both new and established users and will be enforced by the new Krawl Ratio Moderator :)

The Krawl Ratio Moderator approves an exception for Tom due to Fuel Injection and low diff gears!

This does not mean you can throw a TBI setup on your 4.99 geared rig and get an exception! True MPFI and 5:1 diff gears are required for an exception to be considered!

Before I sold the 231 Krawl Box I had in the BK I was contemplating putting it in The Krawler for 554 KR :)

yellowjepCJ is the krawleringest rig I know of at around 340! However, this is not a thread about how low you can go but about integrity and truth in advertising! If you use ANY of the aforementioned terms/phrases you must meet the KRM approved guidelines!

Cab truck: 2.46 x 2 x 5.44 x 4.88 = 130.6
Samurai: 3.652 x 6.5 x 3.73 = 88.54

Average for both vehicles = 109.6

....missed it by "that" much!

3.93 x 4.7 x 5.29 = 97.7, so close yet so far!

The 2nd tcase is a bit down on my list now after the first run at URE with this setup. LOVE the crawl....oops, nearly the crawl ability, changed my ride completely!

Went from worrying about a clutch back to my normal style of left foot brake, right foot gas! Just pick the gear I want and go!

Front locker / chromos are next, then possibly fool injection OR 2nd tcase...decisions decisions!

Don't me wrong, those of us with engine displacements larger than the average pushmower offer our condolences...

lmao, thats why i ditched the cruiser, "no replacement for displacement"
