In need of help

Did you guys get it bled? I never heard the doorbell ring or the phone ring. Thanks for returning it so soon! Not sure where you can get a pressure plate done cheaply. They have to pull the tranny and that ain't cheap most places. Is the slave cyl rod moving? Like it's supposed to?

We couldn't get it to suck ANY fluid out of the line. I think the master cylinder was/went bad. We're just going to bolt on the parts and have whoever we get to do the clutch work to deal with bleeding the lines. Thanks again.

Ok, so do you want it fixed CORRECTLY or you wanna just throw parts at it because someone on the net said this was wrong with theirs ?

Check your PM's

their has to be something between the plate and clutch
like a broken clutch spring
slave cyl should slowly go. not at a gear change

Resolution

Well, $700 dollars later we got the truck fixed. We had some help along the way which is greatly appreciated, but we had to admit defeat. Not only was the hydraulic system shot, but the clutch was too. The clutch was put in in a matter of 5 or 6 hours which was worth the expense! The truck runs great now and I thank everybody who gave us some input.

Matt

Here are some pics of the clutch they took out. WOW!

Yo,
Classic worn out disk. Wear them down far enough and they will shed the lining as the rivet heads are eaten away.
