My stock shocks are too short, i need shocks for 2-3 inch lift for a 87 toyota p/u. anyone baught any online? if so how where they and where?

Why buy online? A decent set of shocks should run you $125-160 whether you buy online of from a local shop. Why not support the guys you wheel and chat with?

I've had good experiences with many brands of shocks in lifted applications. Rough Country/Heckthorn, Pro Comp, Rancho, etc. I have recently installed both ProComp es3000 series and Rough Country 8000 series shocks on trucks such as yours and was pleased with the ride and performance of both of them.

I just threw some Rough Country 8000's on my Toy and am very pleased with them. I picked them up at Tom's 4wd in Lexington for $31 apiece.

x2, even if they cost a little more the benifits are worth it (a shop owner will go the extra step if he knows you)

I say refrain from RE's. They seem to have thier catalog numbers mixed up and can not send out the right part the first time. I had the same problem with them twice (I have also went through two pairs of shocks in 3 years, I am on my third now)

thanks for help, i just figured if i was going to have to order them i might as well get them on my doorstep. lol...imgoing to check out a couple supension shops when i go out to see what they got.

90% of the shops here have the ability to take a credit card, and ups your order, if you don't want the hassle of driving out to a shop. Hell, if the shocks you need are special ordered most of us will have the manufacturer ship them to your door. Call around and check prices, or look through the vendors on here as there are many 4WD shops here waiting to help.
