How are you guy's powering your incab winch controls. Are you powering them through the fuseblock or just going off the battery?

Mine is straight to the battery and fused. That being said, I don't really see the need to have the winch working with the ignition off other than to give my dipshit friends a chance to screw something up...so if/when I build a wireless controller it will get it's power from acc+.

Depends.. I'm using one of those red covered switches for the master power, so it's constant 12v+.

If it's just the button, I'd recommend switched power.

The current going through that switch is very small.. 18 gauge wire is fine. No need to go straight to the battery if you don't wanna. (I use a grounded extension cord for mine, nice and easy way to have 3 wires together... 2/3 of them even line up to Warn colors.. ;)

I am using the fuseblock for power for the switch. I am not running switched power but I do run the power through another switch so the winch can't be spooled in or out by accident. Warn X8000i if it matters.

mines sort of on 3 switches, and not fused yet. one master switch, a winch "on" switch, and the in/out switch. it's powered off the same power that the hand held remote uses.

I used an old 3 wire extension cord for the wiring, so my 12v+ is straight from the winch, which of course is hooked direction to the battery.

Set mine up with a safety arm switch. I used cordora red rockers and the arm switch is a lit switch while the in/out is a momentary on/off/momentary on switch.
