Individual Mark Read -Without opening

Is there any way currently I dont know about or is it possible to add a feature where you could mark a thread as read without opening it?

So, say I use the whats new fetaure and its 11 pages deep. I dont want to mark everything read because there is some new stuff I nt to explore later but dont have time to right now...but maybe there are 10 threads on page 1 of the list that I have no interets in...is there any way we could implement a check box and "mark selected read" or is that unpossible?

Copy the link and email/PM it to yourself? I don't know of any good solution. If you don't hit the "Mark Forums Read" button, then the threads you have read will be standard, and the threads you haven't read will be bold. I usually just open in a new tab or a new window and minimize it.
 
Unpossible.

You could add the threads to your watch list. That's the easiest way to keep track of them.
