so despite the name it isn't blackpowder or flintlock only?

still can't find a list of rules. can you shoot any high powered rifles say a 7mm-08

You can shoot anything you want except cannons, bazookas and missile launchers. Probably can't shoot off tanks either, but I'd have to check. :) I think they frown on potato guns, too. Despite how much the hot dog guy wants to shoot off some potatoes.

Seriously though, I was involved in a conversation with one of the rangers where someone asked what could be shot and that's what he said. Whatever you want as long as it is state legal; no full-auto for example. (Hand guns, high powered rifles are fine.)

Full autos are legal in NC as long as you have a tax stamp or a ffl.

Just to get even more off track, you need to have a "machinegun permit" from the CLEO/Sheriff too in NC, not just a stamp.

Another side track just to muddy the waters. You can skip the CLEO/Sheriff route with an LLC. :uzi:

You can't skip the MG permit with an llc or trust, it's not the same as a tax stamp. Even FFL's must have one.

I've got an nfa trust that I use to get around the CLEO signoff on the stamps.

Shot there yesterday. Always a good group there.
