I put new axles under my TJ and for reasons I won't go into here, I did not re-install the ABS. Will OBDII fail as a result? Is there anyway to make the ABS light go off? Think I can replumb the whole thing? Would I have to flash the computer to get rid of ABS?

Nope, just make sure the light isn't on, though technically vehicle brakes work without it, there are anal inspectors.

Unless you were able to find a flash from outside the US, it'll never happen. stuff like that takes an act of congress, and 3 former presidents.

YOu should see the crap you have to go thru to disable DRL's on a Tahoe (for the police Dept) several forms and a few managers from GM have to sign off on it.

ABS should have no effect on OBD2 unless the ABS sensors are used for vehicle speed instead of a seperate sensor on the trans. ( only thew newest are equipt this way, and I couldn't tell you which. )

why not just pull the EBCM off the metering block( if possible) and leave the rest alone ?
ABS is designed for it to work as pass thru in the event of an ABS electrical/mechanical failure.

The light being on shouldn't be a problem. My ABS light is on in the TJ (I had to replace a d35 shaft, it doesn't have a tone ring), and I've had no trouble with inspections in the last couple of years. You may run into an inspector who thinks that it is grounds for a failure, but as long as there are no leaks in the system, and everything works like it shouldk you should be fine.

Yea, OBD2 and inspections only are concerned with the CEL. If your inspector has a problem with it get a new inspector.
